What is the Homeschooling Co-Work?

It is a meeting place in Prague — Radotín. Parents can find a quiet space for work and self-fulfillment while being close to their children, who enjoy playing with peers and a guide. We meet in groups of three families twice a week in a scout clubhouse.

What Does Our Space Look Like?

On the ground floor, there is a large room for children and a spacious garden.

On the first floor, there are three separate rooms, one for each parent. Each room has a desk, chair, and a nice view. You can work, exercise, relax, or do whatever you need.

Regular or Occasional Attendance

Wednesdays and Fridays

10:45 AM — 3:45 PM

The co-work is primarily designed for regular members who attend once or twice a week.

Most of the Time

Your children are guided by our experienced facilitators. They create, run, invent their own games in the garden or clubhouse, and enjoy a childhood free of technology, just pure joy. They have access to building blocks, art supplies, and more.

During this time, the first floor is all yours.

Take a break from kids, relax, and enjoy a productive work environment.

Polední pauza

Lunch Break

During the 30-minute lunch break, parents take care of their children so that our guides can also rest. You can heat up your meal in the kitchen or visit one of the nearby restaurants.

After Co-Work

After co-work ends, you can stay in Radotín and take advantage of its many attractions – there is a swimming pool, a natural outside swimming pool Biotop, several great playgrounds, an enclosure with goats and pigs, a popular children’s cafe, a skate park, and more.

What Ages of Children Can Attend?

The co-work is primarly for elementary school-aged homeschoolers and their younger siblings. The minimum age is 3 years.

If you want to join with a preschooler, let us know, and we can discuss it.

Since children spend most of the time indoors, the co-work is better suited for calmer children rather than highly energetic ones.

Where Is the Co-Work Located?

The clubhouse is by the Berounka River in a beautiful natural setting, making it a perfect escape from the city.

Guide for Wednesdays

I am 22 years old and have extensive experience working with children. I led a scout group in my hometown for five years and am deeply familiar with alternative education.

I grew up in a family connected to a Montessori elementary school, which I attended. I am well-versed in respectful approaches and non-violent communication.

I am excited to work with children and eager to learn from them. I love playing imaginative games, sports, reading, and creating.

Guide for Fridays

I am 21 years old and passionate about respectful communication and how it strengthens human relationships.

I have organized summer “scout” camps for children from ScioSchools and graduated from a Scio high school myself.

Last year, I coordinated a children’s club in Prague 7 for school parliament members who wanted to improve public spaces in their district.

I enjoy free play, adventurous explorations, building forts, growing herbs and vegetables, reading, and creative activities of all kinds.

Who am I and why did I start the co-work?

Who am I and why did I start the co-work?

Veronika Pikola Brázdilová — Founder

I am a wife and mother of two young homeschoolers, aged 3 and 8. We love homeschooling, but I also seek solutions that meet the needs of all family members. My older son wants to play with friends, and my husband and I need time for our work and self-fulfillment. We don’t want to work late at night and end up exhausted.

I thought a lot about how and where to combine these needs, but I couldn’t find such a place. So I created one. Now, I am happy to see that co-work works perfectly. It’s my dream coming true – children can play together, parents can work just a few steps away, and if a child needs their parent, they are right there.

What Do People Say About Us?

My daughter and I really enjoyed the co-work. I had plenty of peace and privacy for work while still being close. Sharing space with Veronika and her family was a joy and a great experience.

Věra Kubínová

We have been attending since the beginning, and I appreciate having time for work while knowing that the guide interacts with the children respectfully, does not force them into anything, and they can come to me anytime.
